We travelled from Nottingham to the ferry at Cairnryan. Why did we decide this route, after all it would have been far quicker to get the ferry from Liverpool? Well, we decided on this route as it was the shortest crossing, which seemed right for our pooch who would remain the van for the crossing. And so the decision was made to do the Wild Atlantic Way anti-clockwise.
